‘In Flux’

A series of abstract and semi-abstract paintings in oils and oil and cold wax. The initial inspiration for this series was the ever-changing dynamic of my local wetlands. As I worked on these paintings, this volatile landscape began for me to mirror and be inextricably linked to the constant flux of our human emotions. How, much as the landscape transforms from windswept and rain-soaked to sun drenched and barren, so our moods can swing from day to day, from hour to hour from confusion to calm, from turmoil to tranquility.
